Also known online as “Rain” or “Amethyst”, Blanche is a freelance illustrator, writer and filmmaker based in Quebec, Canada.
A self-taught artist with an interest in narrative art since childhood, she's always drawn inspiration from her environment; exploring themes of nature and human connection, with a particular fondness for animals.
Passionate about storytelling in all its forms, she pursued studies in film and graduated from the École de Cinéma et Télévision de Québec (ECTQ) in 2016. There, she expanded her artistic knowledge, benefiting from the uniquely collaborative and multidisciplinary nature of filmmaking as an art form.
With a predilection for character-centric pieces and narrative scenes, her work draws strong inspirations from cinematographic influences through her thoughtful usage of colour, composition, and atmospheric lighting.
She is currently working on developing two graphic novel projects: Blood In The Water and [Un]ionised, with artistic collaborators.
